With such hard, cold & dry conditions continuing here at home, we are sure the rams were glad to have to chance to move to "greener pastures". This was the case - with a wide variety of purchasers. Whilst most of the rams are staying in NSW they are spread far and wide - they also went to a range of places in the other states of Victoria, South Australia and Queensland.
Again, thank you to those who supported and continue to support our sales. This year putting together a line of rams has been extremely challenging as in previous years the rams haven't needed any supplementary feeding, however with drought conditions now biting very hard we had to feed hay over the last couple of months just so the rams would make it through to the sale. So thank you for your trust in their genetics.
All rams are guaranteed and we welcome feedback on how they perform.
Thank you to all those who helped and were involved with the sale.
Good luck to all for the remainder of the season.
It really hasn't been ideal conditions to prepare sheep for sale, but a little after 9am on the 1st of September the rams were lined up ready for inspection.
Following lunch our agent Joe O'Reilly explained the conditions of sale.
After Joe finished, Andrew also had a few words to say about the sale, the rams, drought conditions and a few people to acknowledge.
Sue, John & David from Wellington.

Congratulations to Janelle and Mark on the arrival of their beautiful new baby girl Jessie Grace, who has now been to her first ram sale.
Will she follow in her mother's footsteps??!!
As always we must thank Joe O'Reilly and his great team from the B.R.& C. Stock Agency. At the sale and all year round they are a pleasure to deal with, nothing is too much trouble & they always ensure the whole process is "spot on".

The dry conditions continue
July 2008
Since the first of January 2008 Keri-Keri has only received 85.5mm rain. 29 mm of this fell in January, which means we haven't had nearly enough rain in our growing period.
Hence the paddocks are still very bare as we now head into the last month of winter. Hopefully late winter and spring rain will give us some feed before long.
Below are photos taken of the paddocks over the duration of this calendar year.
