Blue Ribbon Special Swan Hill Sheep Sale
Keri-Keri along with a number of its clients sold breeder ewes, and a selection of wethers, at the Annual Blue Ribbon Special Swan Hill Sheep Sale.
The day was wet and miserable, as Murray Arnel of the Stock & Land said in his report:"good buying opportunities were abundant as buyers were possibly scared away by hotly contested recent sales".The market top of the day went to Keri-Keri bred sheep from Ivanhoe. These were a line of 2009 drop Keri-Keri blood ewes from Alan & Jill Crozier of Marfield Station.
Photos below of the Keri-Keri wethers leaving Keri-Keri early that morning and a number of sale pens on the day in Swan Hill.

MLA Scanning
Chris Parker of Advance Livestock Services was here for a day and a half weighing & scanning the rams. The rams were weighed, had EMD, Fat Depth & Scrotal Circumferences measurements performed.
Due to the rain earlier on in the year we hadn't been able to get them in for a weaning weight record so this was the first lot of data we managed to get on this year's sale drop.

Rain, rain, rain........

Classing of sire and ewes for joining.
All stud sheep on Keri-Keri were classed for joining to take place in January 2011.
Dr Jim Watts was here for a few days and along with Andrew and Tarsh there were a few extra helpers of "Rocket" and "The Eades" - and the job was done in no time.
About 5 different stud groups were identified and the joining plans made.
