With many of the summer days heat hitting over 45degrees consecutively, the main shearing at Keri-Keri this year was long & hot.

In January 2007 Keri-Keri was one of the sponsors of the Murray Marathon Boat Race. Lyn & Ross Pfeiffer have participated in this fundraising event previously and this year we decided to also “get on board”.

Driving a very conspicuous coloured hire-car three visitors from South Africa stayed a night with us in October.

The sale ewes were brought in for shearing this week.

These photos were taken of young Keri Keri blood ewes at classing on Tin Tin station.

Lamb marking commenced at Keri-Keri.

Each event attracts around 12,000 visitors over two days.

1,000 Keri-Keri June/July 2004 drop surplus ewes made up to $151.00 a head at the sale.

85 July 2004 drop rams were offered for sale, with the top-priced ram making $2,300 and a sale average of $835.

Rain interrupted shearing, which was a good problem to have, lifting confidence in the district and ensuring a reasonable spring season ahead.

Seven merino studs displayed their sheep at the information day and 150 people attended.

At lamb marking there were some terrific lambing percentages. Keri-Keri did not mules this year.

There is no feeding of sheep on Keri-Keri, but the sheep maintain good condition in the native bush country.
